Practice Areas: Ms. Van Horn is Of Counsel to the Firm. Her practice includes white-collar criminal defense, complex commercial litigation, and internal investigations. While at Aegis, Ms. Van Horn has represented both individuals and companies in investigations and proceedings conducted by the United States Department of Justice, United States Attorney’s offices, and numerous regulatory and investigative agencies, and has successfully represented a variety of clients, from individuals to Forture 500 corporations, in high-stakes commercial cases alleging fraud and other commercial torts. Ms. Van Horn regularly represents public-sector institutions in investigations into fraud and corruption in their programs and projects.
Background: Ms. Van Horn is a magna cum laude graduate of Yale College, a 1993 cum laude graduate of the Harvard Law School, and a Fulbright recipient. Following graduation, Ms. Van Horn clerked for Judge Barrington D. Parker, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to joining Aegis, Ms. Van Horn served as a trial attorney with the Public Integrity Section of the Department of Justice, Criminal Division, and practiced criminal defense law at the New York law firm of Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason & Silberberg, P.C.
